Where Neighbours Gather and Friendships Grow

Community Campfires happen on the fourth Saturday of the month, from December to April, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, at various local parks.

Plan to attend on Dec. 27, Jan. 24, Feb. 28, Mar. 28, and Apr. 25. In January and February, skating will be available. And in March and April, City Recreation Leaders will provide play opportunities for all ages and prizes!

If you live in Shawnee Slopes, Shawnee Park, or Evergreen Estates, you're invited - bring your family and guests! On December 27th, we’ll be in Shawnee Park East (Shawnee Blvd. at Shawnee St.). It’s within walking distance for residents in the multi-family structures, near the train station, so we hope to see lots of you there. We’d love to meet you. As always, residents from all corners of the community are encouraged to drop by.
 
SECA provides hot chocolate, plus hot dogs and marshmallows to roast over the fires. Enjoy the casual vibe as you sip hot chocolate by the fire and mingle, entertained by a local guitarist singing favourite tunes. Bring a camp chair and a roasting stick or we have extras.
