Communications Team Lead

Communications Team Lead
~4–8 hrs/month | 1 person

Help shape SECA’s communications and ensure our website and social media stay clear, consistent, and up to date. This role provides light oversight and coordination, with flexibility to take on more if desired.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee SECA’s overall communications approach (website, social media, newsletter alignment)

  • Act as the main point of contact for the Webmaster / Social Media contractor (if in place)

  • Review and coordinate content requests from committees before they are published

  • Help prioritize what gets posted and when, if multiple requests come in

  • Ensure the website stays current and reflects active programs and events

  • Support consistency in tone, messaging, and branding across platforms

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong organization and communication skills

  • Comfortable coordinating between multiple people/committees

  • Good judgment for prioritizing and presenting information clearly

  • Familiarity with websites and social media (no technical expertise required)

Time commitment:

  • ~4–8 hours per month

  • Flexible, with occasional busier periods around events or updates

Good to know:

  • Committees typically create their own content—this role helps guide and coordinate

  • Opportunity to contribute additional content (e.g., social posts, website updates) if you’re interested

  • Role may evolve as SECA’s communications structure grows
