Seasonal · ~4–6 hrs/month (Dec–Apr) + event days | 2 people
Bring neighbours together by organizing SECA’s popular winter campfire series. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys simple, community-focused events and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
What you’ll do:
Plan and coordinate monthly community campfires (typically the 4th Saturday, Dec–Apr)
Arrange supplies (e.g., firewood, snacks, hot drinks)
Coordinate simple setup and takedown
Recruit and organize volunteers for each event
Work with the Communications Team to share event details and develop promotional items
Be present at campfires to help host and oversee the event
What we’re looking for:
Organized and reliable
Friendly and community-minded
Comfortable coordinating small events and volunteers
Able to be present at scheduled campfire dates
Time commitment:
~4–6 hours per month during campfire season (Dec–Apr)
3-4h event day attending monthly campfire events including set-up and take-down
Good to know:
This is a popular and well-established event (now in its 8th year) with a simple, proven format
You’ll be supported by SECA and the Events Committee
