Community Hub & Garden Project Team
~4–6 hrs/month (project-based, 2026–2028) | 4 people

Help shape and bring a proposed community gathering space and garden to life. This is a multi-year project focused on creating a welcoming outdoor space for residents to connect, gather, and grow.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to planning and development of the community hub and garden

  • Support project coordination, timelines, and key milestones

  • Assist with sourcing, procurement, and coordination of materials and services

  • Help engage the community and gather input as the project evolves

  • Support fundraising, partnerships, and grant opportunities

  • Collaborate with a larger project team and SECA leadership

What we’re looking for:
We’re looking to build a well-rounded team with a mix of skills and experience across the following areas:

Planning & Development

  • Urban design or landscape architecture

  • Construction or trades experience

  • Procurement or contract management

  • Environmental or sustainability knowledge

Organization & Project Delivery

  • Strategic planning or organizational development

  • Volunteer coordination

  • Risk management or policy development

  • Fund development and grant support

Community Engagement & Communication

  • Community engagement or facilitation

  • Marketing, social media, or graphic design

  • Event planning

  • Partnership development

You don’t need experience in all areas—bring your strengths and experience in one or more of these areas. 

Time commitment:

  • ~4–6 hours per month

  • Ongoing project (anticipated 2026–2028)

Good to know:

  • You’ll be joining an existing team of 8 volunteers

  • This is a collaborative, team-based project—no one is expected to do everything
