Development Director
Board role · ~10–12 hrs/month (July/August off) | 1 person
Help represent community interests in planning and development matters. This Board-level role acts as SECA’s main connection to the City on development-related issues.
What you’ll do:
Serve as SECA’s designated contact for development and planning notices from the City
Review development applications and circulate for input where appropriate
Provide comments or responses to the City on behalf of SECA
Advise the Board on development and planning matters affecting the community
Chair the Planning & Development Committee (if established)
Participate in relevant City or community meetings, workshops, or forums
Contribute to development-related communications as needed
What we’re looking for:
Interest in urban planning, development, or community growth
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Comfortable reviewing documents and forming balanced recommendations
Able to represent community perspectives in a professional manner
Time commitment:
~10–12 hours per month (July/August off)
Good to know:
This is a Board of Directors position
Must be a SECA member in good standing
Requires adherence to SECA’s Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy
