Membership Director

Director – Membership
Board role · ~10–12 hrs/month (July/August off) | 1 person

Support and grow SECA’s membership program and help strengthen community engagement. This Board-level role focuses on maintaining membership systems and encouraging residents to connect and get involved.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain and oversee SECA’s membership records

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones

  • Recommend membership structure and fees to the Board as needed

  • Work with Communications volunteers to update membership materials and campaigns

  • Support promotion of memberships through newsletters, social media, and the website

  • Prepare AGM sign-in lists and, with the Secretary, verify voting eligibility

  • Chair the Membership Committee (if established)

What we’re looking for:

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Interested in community building and engagement

  • Comfortable working with data, systems, and basic tracking

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Time commitment:

  • ~10–12 hours per month (July/August off)

Good to know:

  • This is a Board of Directors position

  • Must be a SECA member in good standing

  • Requires adherence to SECA’s Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy
